Privacy Policy

WristRotation ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal watch and strap rotation tracker built and operated by Andrew Nedelka as an individual developer. This policy describes what information the app collects, how it is used, and how you can control or delete it.

What we collect

When you create an account and use WristRotation, we collect:

• Account data. Email address and an encrypted password hash, used for sign-in and account recovery.
• Profile data you provide. Display name, occupation, work style, hobbies, style preference, wrist size, and notification preferences. All of these fields are optional.
• Watch and strap collection data. Names, photos, brands, reference numbers, specifications, purchase information, and service history that you enter or import.
• Wear log entries. Each daily log records the watch and strap you wore, optional notes, optional photos, optional occasion tags, and optional weather information.
• Photos. Watch images and outfit photos you choose to upload, stored in our hosted storage. You can remove them at any time by editing the corresponding entry.
• Location data (only if you enable it in Profile). When you log a wear, the app captures GPS coordinates and reverse-geocoded place name to surface location-based patterns. Location capture is off by default and can be turned off at any time. We do not track your location in the background.
• Diagnostic and crash information. When the app crashes or encounters an error, we collect a stack trace, device model, OS version, and a portion of recent in-app activity to help us reproduce and fix the issue. This may include your IP address. We use Sentry for this. A small percentage of sessions (10%) are recorded as a privacy-masked replay (text content, images, and webviews are masked by default) to help us debug issues; 100% of sessions that hit an error are recorded. No replay data leaves your device unless an error occurs or your session is one of the 10% sample.
• AI interaction data. When you use the AI insights or chat features, we send your collection data and recent wear log entries to Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalized analysis. We do not send your email address or password. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy

We do not collect:

• Browsing history outside the app
• Contacts, calendar, or messages
• Health, fitness, or biometric data (the "Apple Health integration" toggle in Profile is presently inactive and collects nothing)
• Information about other people

How we use your data

• To provide the app's features: showing you your collection, calendar, statistics, and AI insights.
• To generate personalized recommendations via Anthropic's Claude API (collection composition, rotation patterns, strap suggestions, etc.).
• To diagnose and fix bugs using Sentry crash reports and session replays.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or analytics targeting.

Where your data is stored

• All app data (account, profile, watches, straps, wear logs, photos) is stored in Supabase, which hosts on AWS in the United States.
• Crash reports and session replays are stored on Sentry's infrastructure in the United States.
• AI prompts and responses are processed transiently by Anthropic and may be retained briefly per their abuse-detection policy.

Your choices and rights

• Edit any data: Use the app's Profile, Collection, or Calendar screens to edit watches, straps, log entries, photos, and profile fields at any time.
• Turn off location capture: Profile → Location sharing.
• Delete your account and all data: Profile → Delete Account (at the bottom of the Profile screen). This permanently deletes your auth record, all watches, straps, wear logs, service records, photos, AI feedback, and any other data tied to your account. This action cannot be undone.
• Export your data: You can export your collection by request — email wristrotationapp@gmail.com.

If you live in a region with data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have rights to access, correct, and delete the data we hold about you. The Delete Account button satisfies the right to erasure. For access or correction requests, email wristrotationapp@gmail.com.

Children

WristRotation is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
